The Electronic Engineer may use some form of analysis tool such as:
    PSpice,
    IsSpice,
as well as others.
The Electronic Engineer also uses some form of CAD tool such as:
    OrCAD Capture,
    WinDraft,
as well as others. All use their own system of drawing commands but the art is virtually identical between them all. A tool is usually chosen because of:
    compatibility with previous layouts,
    familiarity by current EE,
using existing software versus buying new software,
    corporate policies.

Regardless, the tool must generate proper netlist files for the ECB Designer.
